Our Core Team
David’s role within Inspire is to drive the business forward. Apart from a Tuesday morning networking @BNICarnegie he is normally found managing client projects, attending conferences/seminars or writing web articles.
He has a unique background, with nine years’ experience in a range of web and IT roles plus seven years in sales and marketing in a blue-chip FMCG company. Prior to his MSc and founding Inspire, David worked for Scottish Brewers, now Heineken UK, and was for over seven years a successful sales manager. He also worked across the IT and project management functions for Norwich Union, Aviva and RAC-Auto Windscreens, delivering projects in a range of sizes.
David’s academic and professional qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Business Economics (Personnel) from the University of Paisley, an MSc in Information Technology (Systems) from Heriot-Watt University and PRINCE2 Practitioner-level certification. He is also an active member of the British Computer Society.
Martin J SmithHead Of Development
Martin heads up our Development Team and manages client projects.
He has a lot of Business Analysis experience so is generally involved early on in our larger and more complex projects to make sure all requirements are fully explored and documented up front. He then sees them all the way through our development process to launch and provides ongoing support.
Martin manages our development teams and supervises our Account Managers, ensuring everything is on track so that clients' websites exceed their expectations and are delivered on schedule.
Academic qualifications include an MSc Information Technology and a BAcc (Hons) Accountancy.
In his spare time Martin is currently spending too much time planning some home improvements and chasing after his 2 slightly mad cats. He also enjoys playing poker when he gets a chance.
Andrew ProdromouSearch Marketing Manager
Andrew is our Head of Search and looks after our growing team of Digital Marketing experts. He has been working in Digital Marketing for over 20 years, covering search engine optimisation (SEO), conversion rate optimisation, User Experience, Data Analysis, Data Segmentation, SAAS development, and People Management. Andrew has also had the privilege of working with top brands such as Virgin, TUI, Hewlett Packard, John Lewis and Wayfair.
In Andrew’s spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar as well as teaching his son how to play and watching TV shows with the family.
Thomas QuinnBusiness Development Manager
Thomas joined Inspire Digital in 2019 after running his own company, Start Digital, for five years. A former journalist, Thomas spent his 20s chasing stories for local and national newspapers, working with the Mirror for five years.
Following a lengthy and successful freelance journalism career, Thomas took up the challenge of founding his own Glasgow based digital agency. Initially focused on iPad publishing apps, Start Digital quickly morphed into a web and graphic design agency, winning a varied portfolio of clients.
A first-class communicator, Thomas is our business development manager with a focus on developing new business and creating new opportunities for Inspire. He has been a member of BNI Alba in Glasgow for four years and is a member of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Angela WattPROJECT MANAGER
Angela manages our client projects and assists with every-day customer queries related to website maintenance. With a background in Journalism and PR, she started focusing her efforts in web development back in 1997, with a stint doing Quality Assurance for the gaming industry after moving to Scotland in 2010.
An Italian Brazilian, she has worked on projects from blue-chip companies like Sony, Warner Brothers, Levis and Uber in South America and the EU. At Inspire, Angela assists Martin J Smith and the development team to progress web projects of different scales, acting as the bridge between our clients and the developers.
When not working at Inspire, Angela assists the not-for-profit ShareSoc UK and writes music reviews for Louder than War (UK) and Rolling Stone (Brazil). She is a member of the Charted Institute of Public Relations in the UK, an avid Beatles collector and Monty Python trivia fan. She is a mum to (human) toddler Samuel and (feline) babies Agnetha and Ann-Frid.
Kevin MilneProject Manager
The key role of Kevin at Inspire Digital is the co-ordination and completion of assigned projects on time and on budget; ensuring that all scoped requirements are met for all stakeholders.
He has over 5 years of agency experience working on a wide range of web-based projects, for clients around the world. He brings this experience and knowledge to the table and is able to guide and manage projects from concept, all the way through to completion and beyond.
Kevin’s academic and professional qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Journalism; he has completed a PRINCE2® Foundation course, as well as two Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional certificates in Marketing and Integrated Communications. Kevin is currently sitting a Higher Apprenticeship Diploma (SCQF Level 8) in Project Management.
Outside the office Kevin is a keen follower of sports (NFL, football, golf and tennis) and when not watching sport, enjoys attending live events like the Fringe Festival, live gigs around the UK and whenever possible, taking the opportunity to enjoy a bit of skiing during the winter times.
Boris BlondinLEAD DEVELOPER
Boris is our Lead Developer and global traveler who graduated from University in France with specialisms in web development. He contributes to the business with his years of experience and technical knowledge.
One of Boris’s innate skills is his ability to turn complex requests into efficient and elegant solutions. Along with building some of our more dynamic websites and systems personally, he leads our other developers ongoing training. This covers a wide remit of topics including the latest tools and techniques available within their specialties.
When he's not playing badminton, kayaking or climbing mountains, he spends his time reading, cooking, volunteering or studying the latest framework he's heard of.
Josephine FrickeProject Coordinator
Josephine started working at Inspire as a Summer Intern responsible for her own project and we were so pleased with her performance she has been working for Inspire ever since.
Josephine has just completed her studies with an MSc in Environmental Entrepreneurship, learning the ins and outs of sustainable business practice and finding new opportunities for our Scottish commnuity. These insights will bring some new perspectives to Inspire.
In her spare time, Josephine is a fan of everything sports, watching her favourite teams compete regularly. She also enjoys a good book and spends her weekends outdoors exploring Scotland.
Ben EdwardsDIGITAL MARKETER
Ben started working with us as a freelance copywriter, creating content for the Inspire website and various clients. Since then, Ben has come on board as a member of the marketing team and supports a vast array of our clients with all their copywriting needs.
With degrees in Psychology and Comic Studies, Ben has an eclectic background, previously using his skills as a professional proofreader and editorial assistant. He took a break from work to return to university and recently finished his dissertation on how trauma shapes origin stories across literature. After this, Ben went to use his content creating skills and eye for detail at Inspire.
Ben enjoys researching new content and learning new skills. While in his free time, he likes volunteering for local charities, travelling whenever he gets the chance and watching bad television with his friends.
Urim KodraDIGITAL MARKETER
Urim is our SEO Executive and is responsible for providing our customers with a top-class service when it comes to both local and international SEO. Urim is also an expert in strategy and providing solutions even for the more complex website cases. Urim is very passionate about digital marketing, so much so he just got his SEMrush accreditation last year, giving him even more experience in digital trends.
Urim enjoys watching football and relaxing with television in his free time, especially shows from both Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Christina MartinGraphic Designer
Christina is our Graphic Designer and is in charge of designing websites, logos and other graphic design assets. She studied Product Design Engineering and was a freelance graphic designer before joining us.
Christina loves all things design and has an interest in illustration, typography and type design. She loves working with clients to bring their vision to life.
In her free time, Christina practices yoga, handstands, climbing and drawing. She loves learning new skills and spending time in nature.
Unlike many web design or marketing agencies, we do not run automated software and send you out a long technical Website Review Report on what you or indeed your last developer have missed.
We recognise that the web is evolving at a tremendous pace, one real month is equal to one web year, so what was delivered just a few years ago, may very well be looking tired and dated.
