The Brief

Keepsafe is a rapidly growing self-storage facility that also offers van hire and packaging services. Due to the rapid expansion, Keepsafe approached Inspire for a web-based solution that was compatible with Space Manager software.

The Inspire team was commissioned to deliver:

Online reservation software and quote system
A neat and tidy image-led solution
Superfast mobile responsive and desktop design
Customised user-friendly content management system
An enhanced online presence, locally and nationally
Local SEO for the five locations across Scotland

The critical success factor for this project was our ability to incorporate Space Manager software into the website. This advanced piece of software enables Keepsafe to manage all four storage locations in one place, and ensures customers can book a storage unit with ease. As an accredited Space Manager provider, we were well within our comfort zone.

Due to the competitive nature of the storage industry, Keepsafe also requires a strong online presence for each of its locations. We’ve been the forefront of local SEO development in Scotland for years, and our Google Map Pack (KGPO) service ensures all four of the Keepsafe locations have a strong visibility on local searches.

What We Did

This exciting project had several phases, and came with a few challenges along the way.

To ensure a smooth integration with Space Manager, we had to upgrade the host server so it could handle various configurations. The website database also required SQL Anywhere License which allowed the database to communicate with other entities.

We identified various other integration issues throughout the build and worked with various KPI providers to resolve the issues which has led to a better, and overall, more robust solution.

We built a customer calculator as a special feature to enable customers to be quoted on the spot for a storage container to meet their exact needs.

Our digital marketing team ensured each page of the website was loaded with keyword and phrase researched metadata. This metadata ensures Google understands the relevance of the page to its search engine and ranks it accordingly in search results.

We applied KGPO Map Pack service to each of Keepsafe’s locations. This ensured that each location was in the top three positions on Google Maps when customers performed local searches on Google.

To track the progress of Keepsafe’s online presence we set up its Google Analytics and Google Search Console accounts – these reported an 800% increase in traffic during the course of the following month.

The Outcome

By incorporating Space Manager and creating bespoke features such as cost calculators into the Keepsafe website, we were able to create a one-stop-shop for the client and its customers.

The comprehensive, fully custom content management system enables the easy tracking of storage reservations and customer contacts via the online contact form. And we fully support the website to ensure all quotes and contact attempts are successfully delivered to the customer.

Keepsafe now has a strong online presence which is keeping customers informed of availability and costs, and keeping its storage containers filled.
