Secret Scotland offers personalised, cost-effective self-drive itineraries for exploring Scotland. Their virtual guides highlight the best spots, detailed routes, and practical tips for accommodations.

They cover popular routes like the Northwest Highlands and local favourites, making it easier for travellers to experience Scotland's landscapes and culture authentically.

Secret Scotland came to us with a brief to completely rebuild their current website, which was built on an outdated platform that was hard to edit and not easy to maintain. They sell virtual products, specifically tour guides for different areas of Scotland. Since their business is purely online, they needed to replace the site they currently have so they could move forward as a business and be in a better position for future growth.

What We Did

We transformed Secret Scotland's digital presence with a visually appealing, image-led website that reflects the beauty of their self-drive tours and the scenery of Scotland itself. This modern platform showcases Scotland's treasured gems while boosting Secret Scotland's operational efficiency and user experience.

The main actions we took

Integrated a robust, easy-to-manage Content Management System (CMS) to allow seamless updates to essential areas like tours, accommodations, blogs, testimonials, and FAQs.

Included a simple but powerful interface for users to filter tours and find the one they wanted easily on Desktop, Laptop, and Mobile devices. We took on board the client’s ideas and built this feature that allows users to filter tours based on Duration, Popular Places, Film Locations and Themes, so they can quickly narrow down their options to make a buying decision.

Integrated essential tools such as Email Newsletter--a streamlined MailChimp signup to keep travelers informed; and Payment Integration --secure online payments from Stripe integrated directly into the website to simplify the checkout process.

Designed a Responsive site to guarantee a flawless experience across all devices, catering to the many users accessing the site via mobile.
