The Outcome

With the new website, Inspire successfully encouraged users to register their interest with Scotia Golfing by adding contact forms throughout the website.

Our team also created a Content Management System to track easily and notify Scotia Golf as soon as an enquiry is received.  The user also receives confirmation - no more wondering if your enquiry has actually worked!

Overseas interest was high, so we developed a fully functional Japanese language version of the site which has been a huge hit and instrumental in attracting more overseas visitors to Scotland.

The Brief

The website needed to appeal to golf enthusiasts while providing a smooth and intuitive experience for users to explore available packages and easily make booking enquiries.

To further expand the resort’s reach, a tailored, streamlined version of the website was launched in May 2015 for the Japanese market, allowing international clients to access information and enquire with ease.

They tapped Inspire to do a project that will showcase the world-famous vistas of Scottish golf courses while highlight the added value that Scotia Golfia bring to their client packages.

Key requirements

Develop branding and business stationery to establish a professional and cohesive brand image.
Create a desktop and advanced mobile website to highlight Scotia Golfing’s offerings.
Integrate multiple forms throughout the site to allow users to easily inquire about bookings for different golf packages.

What we did

The Inspire team took a structured and collaborative approach to developing both branding and website. We started by diving deep into the client’s goals, target audience, and market positioning.

From there, we mapped out a clear strategy that guided every design and development decision—from crafting a strong visual identity to building a user-friendly website that reflected the brand’s personality.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with the client to ensure every element aligned perfectly with their vision and delivered a seamless experience for their users.

The main actions we took

Defined where the brand would be used (social media, signage, merchandising, etc.) and created a range of options to work through.
Conducted a facilitation exercise to document both front-end and back-end website needs.
Analysed target users' locations, devices, and behaviour to streamline the path to making inquiries.
Developed and refined mockups based on the approved branding and user insights.
Built both desktop and mobile versions of the website for a seamless user experience.
Implemented a wide sliding banner to display images in the best possible way.
Conducted six-month reviews to integrate the latest UX and usability improvements, including sticky menus and floating CTA messages.
