The Outcome
The new Parkhead Housing Association website has completely changed how residents connect with their housing services. Everything they need is now available online ā quick, easy, and accessible 24/7.
Residents can fill out forms, check updates, and find information without needing to call or visit the office. The process is faster, simpler, and more transparent. For the Parkhead team, itās freed up valuable time and reduced repetitive admin work.
The community hub has also been a great success. Itās become a central space where residents can stay updated and feel more involved in whatās happening around them.
Since the launch, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The site has made daily operations smoother for staff and improved the overall experience for residents.
Working with Parkhead Housing Association was a meaningful project for us. Their commitment to the community inspired every step of our work. The result is more than just a new website ā itās a tool that empowers residents, supports staff, and strengthens the connection between Parkhead and the people it serves.
This project showed how thoughtful digital design can make a real impact ā not just by improving systems, but by helping communities thrive.Ā
The Brief
The goal was simple: build a digital home that makes life easier for residents. The new website needed to be practical, easy to navigate, and designed with accessibility in mind. It also had to help the Parkhead team save time by automating routine tasks.
We were asked to design a platform that could handle everything from housing applications to repair requests ā all in one place. On top of that, it needed to act as a communication hub where residents could find community news, upcoming events, and updates.
It was important to Parkhead that the website felt friendly and approachable. It had to work for everyone, including people who might not be confident using technology.Ā
Key requirements
What we did
We started by focusing on the people who would use the site most ā Parkhead residents. Every part of the website was designed to be clear, calm, and easy to understand. The layout is clean, the menus are straightforward, and the content is written in plain language.
Next, we replaced traditional paper forms with secure, online forms. Residents can now apply for housing, request transfers, or report repairs directly through the website. The forms work on any device, so people can access them at home or on the go. This step alone has made a huge difference, cutting down the need for office visits and speeding up responses.
We also built a community hub to keep residents informed. It features the latest updates, news, and event listings ā all managed by Parkheadās internal team. This helps create a stronger connection between the organisation and its residents.
For staff, we streamlined processes behind the scenes. Incoming forms are automatically sent to the right team members, and all information is stored digitally. This means less time spent on admin and more time available for supporting residents directly.Ā
