The short spiel version of your role as Search Marketing Manager is to help our clients thrive, this will include the following:

experience requirements:

You will have the opportunity to work with some great clients, and will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Playing nicely with the other cool kids (Working with external agencies and the internal marketing departments of our clients) 

  • Managing and directing an agency search team 

  • Managing profitability and team budgets 

  • Using data analytics to identify points of difference between different online entities 

  • Overseeing all search projects from concept to delivery 

  • Reviewing your search teams work and providing guidance where appropriate 

  • Organic SEO experience: local, map, knowledge graph, onsite (technical + content), offsite 

  • Paid SEO experience: cross platform 

  • Planning, delivery, pricing and management of Client Search Packages 

  • An analytical approach to problem solving to improve processes and identify blockages 

  • Creation, Development and Reporting on our own digital marketing plan

education requirements:

A degree in a related subject would be preferred but not essential for the right candidate 

qualifications:

Any on the job training and qualifications in SEMRush or similar is essential

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Managing the search team 

  • Playing a key role in developing client tenders and pitching new project ideas to potential clients 

  • Developing a strategy to grow the Search team 

  • Be escalation point for all client issues 

  • Guiding, evaluating, and redirecting creative development as required 

  • Supporting marketing and development teams creatively 

  • Managing the Search team, incl leading, mentoring, and taking accountability for their development of designs for clients 

skills:

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following: 

  • Excellent grasp of numbers be that: capacity planning; revenue/cost projections against plan 

  • Creation, Development and Reporting on our own digital marketing plan 

  • Helping us grow (We grow when our people grow) 

  • Managing relationship with existing clients, and cultivating new ones 

  • Playing nicely with the other cool kids (Working with external agencies and the internal marketing departments of our clients) 

  • Using data analytics to identify points of difference between different online entities 

  • Creating and managing your team’s budget 

work hours:

32-40 hours per week

incentive compensation:

The role will require some attendance at either of our offices in Perth or Glasgow, for the right candidate we are flexible in balancing this with working from home. However what is important is that you are able to effectively and efficiently service the needs of our clients and our business.
