The Opportunity  

As Lead Copywriter, you will provide a world-class, creative content development service, supporting our clients to achieve maximum engagement and a great return on their investment.  Working closely with departments across the business, the Lead Copywriter will develop strategically aligned content which meets client branding requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience: 

• A minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar professional copywriting role 

• A creative flair both visually and in writing 

• Flexible and adaptive creative abilities to meet client and audience requirements 

• Brand-focused with experience of working with multiple brands from a variety of sectors  

• A forward thinker with a passion for all things digital 

• A solid understanding and experience of developing SEO supported content to develop highly ranked results 

• Confident research abilities with the flexibility to keep up-to-date with current trends 

• A strong attention to detail with the ability to self-edit 

• Professional standard English writing skills 

• Experience of working in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment 

Desirable: 

• Experience of working in an agency environment 

• Experience of using Wordpress 

• Professional photography skills 

An English language or marketing-based degree background is preferred but not essential

• Strategically planning, developing, and publishing digital content on behalf of clients, which is flexible for use in a variety of contexts from websites to social media platforms and mobile applications.  

• Using AI to support the efficient development of content  

• Development of engaging copy to support audience and sales growth for our clients, from a variety of industry sectors 

• Content development through the lens of search engine optimisation, selecting appropriate keywords to achieve high-ranking results   

• Self-editing and proofreading to ensure excellent quality standards 

• Collaborating with departments across the business including web development, digital design, visibility services and internal marketing/ comms.  

• Liaising directly with clients as required to ensure project delivery meets expectations 

40 hours per week 

Please note, occasional evening and weekend working may be required to meet the demands of the business and clients.
