Are you an awesome front end web designer/developer? 

 

We are looking for someone who has a passion to challenge our team, themselves and see those projects come alive. 

The position would suit someone already in a Web Design role with either another Agency or working for a company in-house. 

The role comes with an excellent starting salary, which will be reviewed after 6 months based on performance. 

As part of a very strong team you will be exposed to the latest trends, tools and technologies.

experience requirements:

You will have the opportunity to work with some great clients, and will be able to demonstrate:

  • Playing nicely with the other cool kids (Working with external agencies and the internal marketing departments of our clients)
  • Dealing with concurrent clients as either lead web designer or part of a multi-discipline team 

 

Web Design experience we will look to understand your capability re: 

  • Gathering client requirements 

  • Illustrating design ideas using mock-ups, storyboards, wireframes, process flows and sitemaps  

  • Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets 

  • Identify and troubleshoot UI/UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) 

  • Solid knowledge of Digital Design / Mobile / HTML5 / CSS3 

  • Understanding of layout aesthetics 

  • Prototyping tools such as InVision 

  • Knowledge of SEO principles 

  • Software like Adobe CC, Photoshop, etc 

  • Browser testing and debugging 

  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting 

  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency 

  • Previous industry experience, preferably working within a Digital Agency 

 

As well as Web Designing part, the role includes a lot of Front End Development, hence we will look to understand your capability re: 

  • Git/Github/Gitlab 

  • Node/webpack/npm 

  • Templating languages such as Twig/Blade 

  • Responsive CSS  

  • Sassy CSS/Sass 

  • Composer dependency management 

  • Modern PHP frameworks such as Drupal/Magento/Craft CMS/Joomla/WordPress 

  • Modern JS frameworks such as Vue/React 

  • App development, Android/iOS 

 

Graphic Design experience: 

  • Banner graphics 

  • Branding 

  • Logo 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Infographics  

  • Video editing 

education requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject would be advantageous 

qualifications:

Any on the job training and qualifications in HTML5/Adobe and various software is advantageous
