Content Specialist (entry level position)

Inspire offers a wide variety of products and services but designing and building websites for our clients is the core of what we do. 

Our client base ranges from small businesses to large corporations and they all have differing levels of expertise in applying content to their websites. Sometimes they need help or just don’t have the time and that’s where you come in. As a Content Specialist, you will provide vital assistance to these clients which, in turn, greatly helps our project managers. 

You will be responsible for helping clients add new content to a website that we are building for them. With your eye for detail and commercial sense, you can advise them on where they might have to expand on their existing content to maintain and improve quality of their online presence. You might have to do some basic image editing and proof reading as well as actually adding a client’s content via a Content Management System (CMS). 

You will need plenty of common sense and attention to detail. Part of what you’ll do is review what a client has provided and make lists of what is missing and communicate any parts you think need a bit more work to them. 

You may also train clients on the use of their Content Management System (CMS) once you’re familiar with it yourself. We ideally want all clients to be self-sufficient and able to easily make their own website content changes but in order to get them there you will do the initial content population and show them how it’s done. 

You’ll be talking to clients on the phone, via email and also frequently on video conferences so good communication and a professional manner is extremely important as you’ll be representing us. You’ll sometimes have to chase clients along if they are not giving us what we need content-wise to complete their website but we can’t pester them constantly so you’ll need to be diplomatic at times and use your judgement to read each situation. 

The role will also provide junior-level project management tasks, including participating and taking minutes in client meetings, gathering design briefs, and testing of website functionality. Through this you’ll get a good understanding of the whole end-to-end project process. Part of what you do will also require working closely with our Digital Marketing team which is responsible for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) work on client sites. 

You will receive full training on all the tools and processes you need to perform your role and will be supported by our project managers at all stages.

experience requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a professional environment and dealing with clients would be advantageous. 

  • An understanding of any website Content Management Systems (CMS) would be ideal. 

  • Any experience in proof reading would be useful but you really just need to write well and have a good eye for detail. 

  • Any image editing skills would also be helpful but not essential. 

education requirements:

Higher education grades in English, Business studies or Digital Media Studies would be advantageous. 

qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent 

  • An SVQ level 3 (or higher) in Marketing, Business, or Design would be advantageous 

responsibilities:

 

  • Helping clients apply content to their websites or doing it entirely yourself
